Though Amazon saw a decrease in the spend per customer during Prime Day promotions, this was offset by the increase in the number of customers since 2023.
The analysis also provides a breakdown of Prime Day sales by generation, highlighting a notable shift in Millennial spending. While Gen Z shoppers saw the largest growth in sales, Millennials moved more of their spending to competitors in July 2024.
